That makes sense. If they were aware they were using magic, they might actually be better at it. I can't help but conclude that the elites and major companies are losing control of the narrative. Their usual magical and propagandistic repertoire seems to be failing across the board. I'd think an actual mage would know how to adapt his or her methods. On the other hand, the magical resistance to Trump was very inept.
